Chapter 30 At the flower market, lan stepped out of the car, holding Yvonne in his arms, and instantly, heads turned.
The three of them-him, Victor, and Yvonne-looked completely out of place in the bustling flower market.
With their sharp outfits and striking features, they might as well have been movie stars who wandered into the wrong set.
Victor was the first to get distracted. He stopped abruptly in front of a stall filled with delicate orchids.
"You should get an orchid, Yvonne," he said thoughtfully. "They're elegant and smell nice." lan had been about to say the sthing, but Victor beat him to it.
just He quickly chimed in, “That variety is hard to keep alive. You should just stick to roses." Victor raised an eyebrow. "Orchids are best." lan shot back, "Roses symbolize love. Roses are better." And just like that, they were off-arguing like an old married couple. Yvonne sighed. 'Here they go again,' she thought.
She reached up, smacking both of their arms with her tiny hands. "You, stop quarreling! Let's just get both, okay?" lan and Victor exchanged glances before breaking into identical grins.
"Alright," they agreed.
Finally, Yvonne let out a relieved breath.
'Who says kids don't have worries? This is so hard fortoo!' she thought.

By the tthey were done, they had to call a separate car just to transport the plants back home.
As they were about to leave, lan suddenly turned to Yvonne. "Hold on. We've been picking flowers this whole time-what about you? Do you have a favorite?" Yvonne hesitated, then shook her head.
She thought, 'I don't mind. I just like taking care of them, as long as it keepsbusy.' But as that thought crossed her mind, something else popped up.
Yvonne blinked her bright eyes and spoke in her soft, sweet voice. "Daddy said I'll be starting school in a couple won't be able to cget the flowers for a while." Neither of them minded.
ays. You "No problem. School is important. We're staying in Blorence City anyway-we'll drop by every now and then to see you," lan replied.

Victor smirked. "How about this? Since you helped us out, we'll take you somewhere fun. How about a treat? A to? Both men glanced at her outfit-a soft pink-and-white dress, fluffy little pigtails perched on her head, and skin so smoot and fair it almost seemed to glow.
Her long, curled lashes fluttered over round, big eyes, bright and full of life.
Absolutely adorable,' lan thought.
An idea struck lan, and without hesitation, he scooped her up and carried her back to the car.
His eyes glinted with mischief. "Your dad doesn't know how to dress little girls. We're taking you to buy something cute for school." Victor nodded in full agreement.
Yvonne had wanted to say that she already had plenty of clothes, but these two didn't listen at all.
'My dad is very good at taking care of me,' she thought.
She absolutely couldn't stand anyone speaking poorly about him.
lan and Victor took her for a stroll around a square.
At the upscale mall, lan flashed his VIP membership, and within minutes, they were in the children's clothing section of a high-end store.
The sales associate was patient and kind as she introduced different outfits to Yvonne.
Yvonne's soft, fair cheeks flushed red, and a familiar sense of dread crept over her-the fear of being overwhelmed by an enthusiastic salesperson.
A store associate suggested eagerly. “Miss, how about trying this dress? The color is beautiful, and you'll look adorable in it!" Yvonne's face turned even redder as she anxiously turned to lan and Victor, looking a little helpless.

Unfortunately, the two men completely misinterpreted her reaction.
lan, full of generosity, waved his hand. "Take it! Anything she looks at for more than two seconds, just take it. I'll give you an address later-send everything there." The sales associate's hands trembled with excitement as she quickly nodded. "Of course, sir!" She had hit the jackpot with a big spender.
If Yvonne so much as glanced around a few more times, her sales quota for the year would be met.
Yvonne overheard and immediately rushed to grab lan's hand, her voice soft and pleading. "I already have a lot of clothes. You don't need to buy so many!" She was getting anxious, trying to reason with the two men. "I grow really fast... If I get too many, I won't have tto wear them all." Chapter 30 She had heard this back at the orphanage.
lan froze and then bent down and scooped her into his arms, pressing a cheek against her soft one. "You're way too good kid. Makeswanna steal you and take you home.
The more he thought about it, the more it seemed like a great idea.
His eyes lit up as he looked at Yvonne expectantly, "Why don't you chwith me? I have a very pretty girl at my place." Victor rolled his eyes. “Excuse me? Just because you held her for a bit, you think she should go hwith your I was the one sitting next to her in the car. If anyone's taking her home, it'sYvonne sighed tically.
She thought, Again.

She quickly went to pull them apart.
"Enough!" she said, her forehead damp with a thin layer of sweat from anxiety. "I'm staying with my dad That shut them up.
At that very moment, an unexpected feeling of jealousy stirred within them-toward Kelvin.
"That quiet and boring man has nothing special about him except for his good looks, yet he always seems to attract the little girl's attention, they thought.
Yvonne had no idea what they were thinking. She was just relieved that the two had finally stopped arguing,
