Chapter 0642
Chapter 0642
But the description was still too vague. There were plenty of men who matched it.
In just a few hours, they had found several men with gray hair near their bangs.
"Boss, something feels off," Allen said. "It's almost like this was an intentional clue, and these men with the same
features seem deliberately planted. Otherwise, there's no way so many would show up all at once."
If Allen had noticed this, Suzy certainly had as well.
"No need to rush," Suzy replied. "Let's see how many they've arranged."
If the other side was trying to stall for time, she'd play along. There was no use panicking-they wouldn't find the
culprit immediately, and acting rashly would only let the enemy lead them by the nose.
Eventually, they identified several hundred men across the city with similar features.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs expected, these men had been pre-arranged. Someone had paid them a high price to imitate the description.
"Even though the payments cfrom various accounts, they all trace back to the ssource," Suzy told
Allen. "You know what to do next, don't you?"
"Understood, Boss. Just wait-I'll bring the person to you soon!"
Following the trail from those accounts, Allen apprehended a man, though he didn't match the boy's description.
Suzy questioned him. "Were you the one who transferred that money to those people?"
"What money?" The man looked genuinely confused. "I have no idea what you're talking about! I'm barely
getting by, myself. How could | be giving money to others? I'm just an ordinary citizen. Why did you bring me
here?"
"An ordinary citizen whose account suddenly showed an expenditure of more than a million dollars?" Allen kicked
the man's shin hard. "We brought you here for a reason. Now start talking, or things are going to get worse for
you!"
"More than a million dollars?" The man looked utterly incredulous. "The most I've ever had in my account is a
few hundreds. How could it possibly have more than a million? You must be joking!"

The man didn't seem to be faking it-he genuinely appeared clueless about what was going on.
Suzy narrowed her eyes. "Have you lost your bank card recently, or loaned it to someone?"
"No, | didn't lose it. But a few days ago, a friend asked to borrow it, so | lent it to him. Could it be...?" The man
furrowed his brow. But that doesn't make sense. He's even poorer than me. He said his cousin works at a bank
and needed sblank cards for spromotional activity.
"We've been friends for years, and he's always been a decent guy, so | didn't think much of it. | handed over my
card, and | haven't received any notifications about transactions on it. How could millions be spent just like that?
Are you sure you've got the right person?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAllen read out the account number. "Is this it?"
The man's face turned pale as he stared in disbelief. "That... that's my card. What on earth is going on?"
"What's going on isn't your concern," Allen said with a mocking smirk. "The only thing you need to know is that
your so-called friend deceived you! You trusted him, but he treated you like a fool. What's the point of keeping
such a friend? Now take us to him, quickly!"
