Chapter 385 Josiah vaguely remembered that the elderly couple next door had moved out. Just then, Zach arrived.
Zach cwith good news. "Mr. Flynn, there's news about the funding." Josiah raised an eyebrow, his emotions unreadable. When he was still with the Flynn Group, he didn't have much tand could only manage his own matters as a side job.
Things were different now. He had plenty of tto expand his business. However, he was working alone without any backing, so getting sexternal support was necessary.
Josiah could have waited and slowly built things up, but now because of Andy, finding partners could reduce the tneeded. He had only put out feelers a couple of days ago, yet there was already a response.
"That's quick," Josiah said.
"Indeed," Zach chuckled, "Thanks to Mr. Flynn's reputation in the industry. Everyone acknowledges Mr. Flynn's strength." "Alright," Josiah said with a laugh, waving his hand. "Letcheck their details." "Here you are," Zach said.
Josiah took the documents and carefully looked through them. "Their credentials look good. Let's arrange a tto meet and talk in person." "Alright," Zach replied.
***** This week, Sienna's scenes in the movie were officially wrapped up. Although she wasn't the lead, Charles valued her, and with Josiah's influence (as the public was still unaware of their breakup), the film crew organized a small wrap-up ceremony for her.
The crew had lunch together at noon and even ordered a cake. Charles personally gave her flowers. "Sienna, wishing you great success and a bright future." "Thanks," Sienna replied with a smile. It was nice to hear such good wishes, though she didn't take them seriously.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAs Sienna was leaving, Maggie accompanied her. Unlike Sienna's special appearance, Maggie had a major supporting role with a significant part.
Maggie sighed as she linked arms with Sienna. "I'll miss you." At the door, Maggie looked around, "On a day like this, isn't Mr. Flynn here to pick you up?" Sienna paused for a moment and shook her head. "He isn't coming." Maggie pouted, looking disappointed. "I thought I'd get to see Mr. Flynn today. He hasn't visited the set in a while. But you guys see each other every night, right?" Sienna ignored the question. It was clear Maggie wanted to use her to get closer to Josiah. But Maggie would probably end up disappointed.
"You should head back in; it seems like you have a lot of scenes today, right?" Sienna didn't bother to explain since she wasn't that close with Maggie. Sienna thought there was no need to share her matters.
"You don't have to seeoff; I'll just catch a ride myself," Sienna said.
"Alright then," Maggie said, releasing her. She waved and turned back inside.
Sienna finally breathed a sigh of relief when her phone rang. It was Conner. She wrapped up filming today, and Conner wanted to celebrate with her. He had made a reservation at Cozyroom just for the occasion.
Sienna picked up her phone and glanced at it but didn't answer. Looking up, she saw Conner's car parked across the street.
Conner got out of the car and waved at her with a smile. "Sienna!" "Coming!" Sienna nodded and jogged over to meet him.
Conner opened the car door for her. "Tara and Joyce have already arrived. There's a kids' playground nearby with many children, and Joyce loves it there. It's the place for her to use up senergy, then she'll have a good appetite for eating." "Yeah," Sienna said with a smile, "you've thought of everything." "Absolutely!" Conner grinned, jumped into the car, and drove towards Cozyroom.
Cozyroom was on the 9th floor of Mousea House, so they needed to take the elevator.
"Sienna, hurry up! There's an elevator just coming," Conner said.
"Coming!" Conner and Sienna jogged and dashed into the elevator area.
"Wait!" Just as the elevator doors were closing, an arm reached out and held them, and the sensors reopened the doors.
"Thanks!" Conner quickly stepped in. Sienna, a step behind, also said, "Thank you." Suddenly, the elevator fell silent. It was a small space with only four people: Josiah, Zach, Conner, and Sienna.
"It's you?" Conner sneered, his lips curling into a cold smile as he glared at Josiah with pure hostility.
Josiah raised an eyebrow in confusion. He thought, 'Do I know him?' But seeing Sienna behind him, he seemed to understand.
A chill spread from his heart as it sank. Josiah thought, 'Who's this man to Sienna?' Ever since Conner found out how Josiah treated Sienna, he was filled with animosity toward him. When he met him in person, he could hardly stop himself from throwing a punch.
"Josiah..." Conner was about to say something.
"Conner!" Seeing Conner's mood was off, Sienna quickly grabbed his arm and gently shook her head. "Don't cause trouble. We're here to eat." Conner's muscles were all tense. He held back and nodded, his voice gruff. "Got it." "Stop looking," Sienna whispered, turning Conner around to keep him from staring any longer and losing control.
To Josiah, their posture made them look like a couple. When he was with Sienna, she'd never been this close to him. In a flash, Josiah felt like he was drowning in a wave of jealousy.

"Hurry up!" Josiah rapidly followed behind, exiting the elevator with Zach. Josiah stood with hands im pockets, lifting hislchin slightly, and fixed his gaze on the direction Sienna ran. He didn't move for a long time, clenching his fists so tightly in his pockets that his knuckles cracked. "Zach." Zach nodded. "Yes, Mr. Flynn." "Keep an eye on that man," Josiah said.
"Yes, Mr. Flynn," Zach replied.
*****
They arrived five minutes earlier than scheduled, but surprisingly, the other party was even earlier. It was a private room with an entryway and a screen at the entrance. After they entered, a young man in a black suit was waiting. "Who's in charge? Only one of you needs to go in." Josiah glanced at Zach and gave a slight nod. "You wait here." "Yes, Mr. Flynn," Zach replied.
Josiah looked at the man in the suit, who gestured with his arm. "Please." Passing the screen, the air was filled with the scent of coffee, and you could faintly hear water bubbling on the stove. Suddenly, Josiah felt uneasy.
The person standing by the window turned around when they heard the sound. Their eyes met, and both seemed startled.
Josiah shouted, "It's you!" It was Andy. Josiah smirked coldly, immediately understanding, "Were you using the excuse of collaboration to lureout?" "Right." Andy nodded, then shook his head, "I never thought it would be my son who would try to tripup."
At this moment, Andy showed no signs of displeasure at being m outsmarted; instead, he was full of admiration. "You're young and have got simpressive skills. Great!" "Your son?" Josiah sneered, "If I'm the illegitimate child, then what are you?" He turned around, ready to walk past the screen and leave.
"Edgar! Why go through so much hassle? Just cback, and the entire Evans family will be yours. You'll be the financial and logistics tycoon after me," Andy said.
