Chapter 0440 Lewis POV A jolt shot through my entire body as I held my girl. Her skin created the small sparks that we had both becaccustomed to, only in that moment, as my teeth sunk further into her flesh they becstronger and even more euphoric.

I obviously couldn't bask in it the way most lycans could, Dylan smiled ever so slightly as I held her closer and tighter to my body. A strangled noise cout of her lips, but the small smile on her lips toldthat she was attempting to talk, and that she wasn't hurting any more than she was previously.

My mark didn't affect her negatively.

"Shh, you're alright, you're going to be just fine." She wasn't, I think even she knew she wasn't ok, but still all my hope went to the moon goddess. "Oh Goddess... please no... Dylan stay withok, help is coming." Dylan's body was getting weaker and weaker as we lay there. Her breath stilled and her blood loss was far too great. "Holy shit!" I heard the voice of Oliver from behindand looked to see him hobbling over to the three of us as naked as I was, and almost just as bloody. However he wasn't nearly as injured as me. His sight was firmly on the Josh's body, who lay, nearly headless, next to where I held my mate. The kings neck had a gash the size of Niagara Falls, and even still, his blood poured out of it, creating an extremely large puddle on the grass under his corpse.

"Help me... please. I... I can't lose her. Oliver... HELP ME!" He looked at the girl lying in my arms lifeless and frowned in sympathy. My mate, my beautiful chosen mate was gone. "Lewis, she's already..." I shook my head, allowing tears to freely fall down my face as I rocked her in my own bruised and beaten body. She wasn't dead, she couldn't be.

"No... she's not, she's not..." I dropped her to the floor again and continued to pump her chest with my hands. It was no use, she needed Vee. "Help me... Please..." I was desperate.

"Lewis, you need help too, ok. You're..." I cut him off and scooped up the girl in my arms, fighting back a scream at my broken bones scraping together due to the movements. My right eye becoming more and more blurry the longer my blood dripped into it. "I'm taking her to Vee!" I stated, forcing myself to walk with her nestled lifeless in my arms.

"Lewis..." Oliver took one look atand sighed, there was no way I was going to acknowledge Dylan's death until she had been seen to by the doctors. So My old friend nodded his head in defeat, knowing that there was no way I was going to be persuaded. "Ok... I'll run ahead to warn her!" The moon was now slowly beginning to sink once more signaling the start of the early morning, as I trudged across the battle field.

Wolves and humans alike all sobbed over dead body's while a few others had began to collect the injured and started to escort them to the medical area we had created.

'Save her... please save her.' I prayed to the goddess Luna over and over again silently in my mind as I fought my own agony. How could the moon goddess let her die like this? After everything Dylan had tried to do to bring peace to everyone.

The walk seemed endless, my hobbles were becoming smaller and slower as my own injuries began to catch up to me.

by Josh, and my face was becoming more and more swollen. Vision in my left eye was now nonexistent wasn't sure if it was from the trauma my face had taken or if it was from the amount of blood that had pooled inside it, but it didn't matter to me. My only thought was getting Dylan shelp.
