Chapter 308 Are You Going to Find Molly Yourself? To keep her identity hidden, she always went by "Molly." No matter how much HR dug, they couldn't figure out who she really was.
No one in this small city knew Penelope's past.
Even Ruby didn't know who she was.
Only Ben knew her, but he didn't know much. He just knew she was a single mom with two kids.
"You should go," Ben said. "It'll be good for 'Silk Haven's' future. Plus, you can show off your skills on a bigger stage. It's way better than staying here." Penelope shook her head. "Mr. Wright,I won't leave." "You don't want the money?" "I want a stable life. No amount of money can buy that." Penelope stood up. "Please retell your cousin, Mr. Wright.." She didn't want to get tangled up in business machinations.
And she definitely didn't want to be associated with "Silk Haven." "Oh, Mr. Wright," Penelope added, "please don't sell my designs to others again. It's about professional respect." She was being cautious.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtPenelope knew her design style was unique. Anyone familiar with her work would recognize her jewelry instantly! She worried that Silk Haven's growing fwould attract the attention of Adoring Cupid, which was full of her old colleagues.
For four years, Penelope had avoided trouble.
"I'll be going now, Mr. Wright." Penelope nodded politely and left.
Ben stood alone in the office, puzzled.
He muttered, "Who doesn't like money? And she's raising two kids alone, with all those expenses... it's a lot!" Ben was a businessman; profits always cfirst.
If Penelope joined a big company and Silk Haven got bought out, his cousin's career would skyrocket, and he'd benefit too! After all, he had secretly given her designs to his cousin.
Even a small cut from a big corporation would be better than running a hundred stores.
Davis Group.
The conference room door opened, and Kelvin walked in, looking indifferent.
Today was the weekly jewelry department meeting.
Monica reported last week's updates. "Mr. Davis, any comments?" "Next." Tina continued, "The design department plans to team up with marketing for a new product preview to attract customers." "Get the advertising department involved too," Kelvin said, tapping his fingers on the table. "Aim for better results." Tina almost collapsed, but Monica quickly steadied her.
Monica smiled and said, "Yes, Mr. Davis, we'll do our best." The meeting lasted an hour.
As people were leaving, Timothy walked in.
He waited until most people had left before speaking lazily, "Kelvin, remember that 'Silk Haven' designer you wanted to hire?" "Yeah. Did you find the designer?" "Sort of, but not really." Kelvin kicked him.

Timothy brushed off his pants. "This designer goes by 'Molly.' She's not actually a 'Silk Haven' designer." Kelvin frowned. "What do you mean?" "Molly's designs were sold to 'Silk Haven' without her knowing," Timothy explained.
"What else did you find? Spill it." Timothy shrugged. "Molly's a mystery. She only sends in designs and never shows up at the company. She only deals with her direct boss." "So, no one really knows her, where she lives, or what she looks like." "And..." Timothy coughed. "She turned down our offer." Kelvin raised an eyebrow. "Turned down?" "Yep." "Did you tell her everything I offered?" Kelvin asked, "Are you sure she really refused?" Timothy nodded. "Yep." Kelvin's lips tightened.
"Look, 'Adoring Cupid' has plenty of designers. They can easily compete with 'Silk Haven.' Why are you so hung up on this unknown designer?" Timothy tried to reason with him.
But...
"They can't design like her," Kelvin said calmly, "Only Molly's drafts cclose." Timothy rubbed his forehead. He knew Kelvin'opsession was because of Penelope. "Are you planning to collect everyone who resembles Penelope?" Timothy asked, "You kept Madison, who looks like Penelope, at the King Manor. Now, you want this designer whose style is like Penelope's."

"Molly doesn't want to come, and there's nothing I can do. We offered great terms, but she just refused." He paused. "I can't exactly kidnap her." "That's not necessary." "Exactly." Kelvin raised an eyebrow. "But I can invite her personally." Timothy was stunned. An unknown designer making Kelvin want to invite her personally? "Are you okay?" Timothy asked, "Are you overworked? You want to find Molly? Yourself?" "Yes." Timothy was speechless. Kelvin wanted everything that reminded him of Penelope.
"It's settled then," Kelvin said, "Giveher address and contact info. I'll go this weekend." "What if you can't even see Molly?" Kelvin replied, "I don't expect to succeed on the first try." Timothy thought Kelvin was really losing it. First Molly, whose style was like Penelope's, then Madison, who looked like her. Who's next? Still, Timothy handed over Ben's contact info.
"He's Molly's boss and has the most contact with Molly," Timothy said, giving Kelvin a business card. "Whether you can see Molly and get her to join Davis Group is up to you." Kelvin took it. Over the years, he had done everything by the book, out of duty, not desire.
