I let out a bitter laugh. "Tell him to go to hell. I don't care what he has to say-I'm leaving, and that's final." Maddox exhaled heavily, his expression torn. "Please, Luna," he pleaded. "Don't leave without talking to him first." I glared at him, my eyes burning with the pain I was barely holding in. "Do you even know what he did to me?" I spat, my voice trembling.

Maddox hesitated before answering. "Luna, I don't know what you saw or what you think happened," he admitted, sincerity clear in his voice. "But I do know one thing-Alpha loves you more than anything. He wouldn't do something like this to you." I shook my head, scoffing bitterly. "You expectto just give him a chance to explain?"
