First Love 66

Chapter 66

Angela was left speechless. She couldn't care less about these material things. If Dexter wanted to show off his

money, that was his business.

“There aren't that many options, but if any of you like something, feel free to take it,” she said casually, leaning

back into her chair and pulling out her tablet to check on her work.

The room fell silent.

Everyone looked at Angela in disbelief, unsure if they had misheard her.

“Angela, what did you just say?” Clara was the first to react, staring at Angela in shock.

"You heardthe first time." Angela shrugged. With that, she turned her chair around and leaned back as if

settling in to watch the unfold.

The next second, the women erupted into chaos.

"That's mine! | want that dress!"

"That one's the latest design! | want it!"

"I want the white one! It's mine!"

In mere seconds, all 12 dresses were snatched up.

"If only there were sfor guys..." Alan commented with a sigh.

George, who had just been aggressively pushed aside by the group of women, nodded in agreement. He winced,

realizing his arm had been scratched in the scuffle.

“Alright, that's enough. Back to work, everyone!” Angela finally spoke up as the noise began to overwhelm her.

She waved her hands dismissively to disperse the group.

"You're the best, Angela! We love you!" Clara exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around Angela and planted a

kiss on her cheek.

The other young women quickly followed suit. In no time, Angela's face was covered in lipstick stains. She

chuckled helplessly.

A few of the young women also posted about the incident on Facebook and even uploaded pictures alongside it.

To everyone's surprise, the posts went viral.

Angela, who barely used Facebook, had no idea about this.

Later that evening, she returned to Villa Heights. Just as she was about to take a shower and get back to

sketching, she was surprised to see Dexter there again.

He was seated at the exact sspot as before holding Mitsy while Dobby lay obediently at his feet. But this

time, the expression on his face was far from pleasant.

The sight of him made Angela's blood boil.

"Why are you always on my heels?"

She gestured for Dobby to cto her, but he completely ignored her. Instead, he trotted over to Dexter,

wagging his tail happily, as if he knew he was the one who always brought him the big bone.

"I heard that you gave away the clothes I bought for you," Dexter said with a half smile on his face. His voice was

cold and unsettling.

"Yeah, | did.” Angela shrugged. "I'll give you three seconds to leave. Otherwise, I'll call the police and report you

for trespassing."

Dexter lifted an eyebrow as if to say, "Go ahead."

Then, he'pulled out his phone and played a voice message.

“Dexter, | heard that Angie has been staying at her own place a lot lately. Did you upset her again? You should go

stay with her and make things right. Don't cback until you've sorted it out!"

The voice message was from Joseph. He had eyes and ears everywhere- he knew that things weren't going well

between Angela and Dexter.

“Go ahead and explain the situation to him yourself," Dexter said sarcastically as he motioned for Dobby to

cover.

Angela fumed. That silly dog!

Just then, a few maids stepped out from the guest bedroom on the first floor. They walked over to Dexter and

said politely, "Mr. Bamford, the room is ready. Please let us know if you need anything else."

Angela immediately stormed into the guest bedroom.

To her surprise, the cozy decor she'd chosen had been swapped out for a cold, business-like setup.

gone. The soft orange curtains, cream-colored bedding, and honey-toned couch were all Instead, they were

replaced with dull furniture that lacked character and made the room feel cold.
