Chapter 1000 Serenity stood in front of the mirror, gazing at her reflection. She looked stunning. The dress highlighted both her beauty as a woman and the grace of a mother-to-be.

Her sister, Laura, was with her, carefully adjusting the final touches to the tiara their mother had crafted with so much love and effort.

Meanwhile, John, Ethan, and Ellie were already at the church, preparing for the wedding march. John would carry Serenity's train, Ellie would Scatter flower petals, and Ethan would carry the ring pillow.

Today, Serenity and Alden were bringing together four families: Valerie, who was originally a Preston; Marcus Bartz; Peter Palmer; and now, with Maximus, the Evans family.

These families, once fractured, were now united-stronger wiser, and, surprisingly, filled with more women. Just as Maximus had once said, they were the ones destined to break the Palmer curse.

Valerie entered Serenity's room, carrying the jewelry Maximus had gifted his daughter. She knew their sentimental value, so she had taken the tto clean and polish them until they gleamed.

Even though everyone knew Catherine wasn't related to Maximus by blood, wearing her jewelry was a way to acknowledge the little she had done for the Preston family, despite the hardships.

"Sweetheart, you look beautiful! I can't believe this day has finally come," Valerie said, eyes brimming with tears. She couldn't help but recall her own two weddings. The first had been a complete disaster-everything had gone wrong from the very start. But one good thing had cfrom it: her daughter.

For her and only for her, she was willing to set aside all the painful memories.

Then there was her wedding to Marcus, a day filled with love and meticulously planned details. Everything had been done to celebrate the union of two people deeply in love.

"Thank you, Mom! You look beautiful too! Honestly, you don't age at all... anyone would think tdoesn't touch you," Serenity said as she let her mother fasten the jewelry onto her.

"My little girl..." Valerie whispered, unable to hold back her tears.

"Alright, enough crying! This is not a day for tears-it's a day for celebrating!" Laura said as she finished adjusting the tiara on Serenity's head.

Just then, Marcus walked into the room.

"Are my girls ready?" he asked with a warm smile.

"Yes, Dad! We're ready," Serenity said, turning toward the door.

As Marcus stepped inside, the sunlight streaming through the window caught Serenity's silhouette, making her look like something straight out of a movie.

He couldn't help but smile.

His daughter looked breathtaking. That dress, that smile, that face full of happiness-it was clear to him that she was marrying for love, just as her mother had years ago.

"My little girl... you look... wow. There's no doubt that the man you're marrying is taking my most precious jewel, "Marcus said as he walked over to hug her.

"Dad... we talked about this," Serenity reminded him with a knowing smile.

"Dad... you're impossible," Serenity laughed.

"Con, love, stop stressing the girl," Valerie said as she reached for Marcus's blazer, fixing the collar.

As she adjusted it, she couldn't help but admire how handshe looked. It reminded her of their wedding day- the day he had stood before her, confident and determined, ready to take on a future together.

"And where did you leave the twins?" Valerie asked.

"They're already on their way to the church. Frederick and Camille are watching them. I told them to practice because, as their great-grandparents, they should help out. That way, I also keep them from sneaking off," Marcus said, winking at his wife.

"Marcus! Let them be. They haven't seen each other in days." Valerie scolded, feeling a little embarrassed for Camille.

"Well, that's what they get for keeping their relationship a secret!" Marcus joked.

"Stop teasing them... You're the only one who's supposed to know about it," Valerie reminded him with a smirk. "Yeah, well, it's an open secret now. Even that idiot Maximus knows." "What? How?" "I don't know, he must've seen them together." "Hmm... Stop calling him that. I thought we made peace with him? I know you don't like him, but don't call him that," Valerie whispered into Marcus's ear.

"Fine, fine. I won't say anything today.

I'll behave like the proper Bartz that I am," Marcus cus declared proudly.

"That's the spirit! Now that's the husband I adore," Valerie said, giving him a kiss. "I hope my marriage lasts like this forever," Serenity said as she watched her parents, still deeply in love after all these years.

"My love, I have no doubt your relationship will be just as strong. But remember, it won't always be good days-there will be tough ones too. Those are the ones that truly test love," Marcus said, looking at his daughter with immense love and nostalgia.

Laura, who had been silently watching, couldn't help but feel a pang of envy. She had once dreamed of having a moment like this, but life hadn't given her the chance. She wasn't bitter-she wished nothing but happiness for her sister-but it was impossible not to long for something similar. "Laura, you look stunning in that dress too! You definitely inherited your mother's beauty," Marcus said, turni to her.

"Thank you, Mr. Bartz," Laura said, a little shyly.

"No need to thank me... You're a beautiful young woman. One day, I'm sure we'll be standing at your wedding, watching you walk down the aisle," Marcus said, sensing what she was feeling.

"For now, today is about Serenity. The future will decide. My priority right now is Adele-my daughter is growing up, and I want to be the best role model for her," Laura said, her voice filled with pride.

"That's the right mindset, Laura! Your child should always cfirst," Valerie said, smiling warmly at her.
