Chapter 321
Chapter 321:
“Didn’t Sheri just save her? Why is this happening now?”
As Sheri busied herself with examinations instead of beginning treatment, Ashton lost patience and gripped her
arm firmly. “What's happening to her? Speak up! Do something now!”
“I... | can’t treat her!” Sheri stammered, completely caught off guard by the sudden change. Izabella’s condition
had worsened beyond hope. Her composed, graceful persona had dissolved into visible panic.
“What do you mean you can’t treat her? You were sure of yourself just now. You have to save her!” Ashton
shouted desperately, grabbing Sheri’s clothes in a frantic plea.
Just then, Izabella coughed violently, spitting out blood that pooled dark purple on the floor, horrifyingly mixed
with what appeared to be pieces of organs.
The onlookers froze, their gasps cutting through the heavy silence.

Ashton’s heart sank further as he stared at the bloody remains on the floor. The realization shattered him. He
had believed in Sheri and pushed Khloe away, only to realize his mistake too late.
“You murderer! You've killed Izabella!” Ashton roared, his fury overtaking him as he lunged at Sheri, gripping her
throat with a crushing force.
Sheri’s face flushed red as she struggled against Ashton’s iron grip, her desperate flailing doing little to free her.
The crowd rushed to intervene, pulling Ashton back before his anger could take a deadly turn.
“Mr. Douglas, get a hold of yourself! Acting in anger won't help now.”
“We need to focus on your wife. There might still be a chance to save her.”

The group's pleas eventually reached Ashton, who released Sheri. Tears streaked his face as he stared at the
grim evidence on the floor.
“Izabella, this is all my fault. | should have trusted Khloe,” he said, his voice breaking as he dropped to his knees,
overwhelmed by guilt. “I'll never forgive myself.”
Sheri coughed violently, staring at Ashton in terror. She knew she had caused a disaster, and her heart was
heavy with fear and regret.
“Ashton, | never meant for this to happen. I... | never thought it would end up like this...” she said, her voice
trembling with guilt, though she had no way to defend her actions.
Ashton paid her no mind, his entire being consumed by the burning urge to end her life.
Just then, Izabella’s fragile voice broke through the chaos. “Ashton, bring Khloe back. Let her know... I'll accept
any terms she has.”
Her frail plea jolted him out of his rage. Without hesitation, he sprang to his feet and dashed out of the hall.
Khloe and Henrik had only just made it past the estate gate when Henrik noticed her suddenly halting mid-step.
Turning back, he asked, “After everything they said to you, you still want to save her? Khloe, being too
softhearted won't get you far in life.”
Khloe met his gaze, her eyes steady and unwavering. “This isn’t about kindness, Henrik. It's about my principles.

Henrik blinked in surprise, a mix of emotions flashing in his eyes as he studied her. Her words caught him off
guard, leaving him momentarily speechless.
After a brief silence, he finally asked, “Is that really how you see it?”
Khloe’s faint smile lingered, but her gaze remained firm. “Absolutely. This is a rare opportunity. And don’t forget—
