Chapter 327
Chapter 327:
“Absolutely! Sheri isn’t just compassionate; she’s exceptionally resourceful. To invite someone of Dr. Ortiz’s
stature on such short notice is nothing short of extraordinary. Truly impressive.”
Sheri’s eyes sparkled with pride, unable to conceal her satisfaction. Khloe, an outcast disowned by her own
family, could never dream of commanding such influence or connections.
Terrell stood momentarily confused, ready to explain that he had been sent by the President and hadn't even
seen Sheri’s message.
But before he could say anything, Sheri grabbed his arm and tugged him towards Khloe. “Dr. Ortiz, please, you
have to stop her! Miss Evans insists on having the patient's daughter donate a thousand milliliters of blood. It's
clearly a dangerous and reckless act!”
Terrell’s first instinct was to scold the absurdity of the suggestion. But when he followed Sheri’s pointing finger
and his gaze landed on Khloe's face, the reprimand died in his throat.

Sheri, not noticing Terrell’s hesitation, continued to pull him. “Dr. Ortiz! Please, you have to stop her from causing
harm!”
“Be quiet! This young lady would never hurt anyone! Do not defher!” Terrell, his anger flaring at Sheri’'s
accusations, shook off her grip and chastised her sternly. Then, to the astonishment of everyone in the room, he
bowed deeply to Khloe. “The last we met was a year ago! | am truly honored to see you again!”
Everyone was utterly shocked. How could Terrell be so respectful to Khloe? The hall fell into stunned silence. For
a moment, the air seemed to freeze.
Sheri’s eyes widened. She stood frozen, her hand still hanging in the air as though she had forgotten how to
move. For the first time, she lost her composure.
Terrell was a doctor famous all over the country, renowned for his exceptional medical expertise, strong
influence, and prestigious position in the medical community. On the other hand, Khloe was an ex-convict.
Although she had once been known as a genius in biomedicine, that was all in the past. Why would Terrell hold
her in such high regard?
Ashton was also stunned. He stood there, momentarily frozen, not knowing how to react. Khloe was the calmest
of them all.

She knew Terrell well enough to understand his old-fashioned mindset. So, his reaction, though surprising to
many, was not unexpected to her.
Their acquaintance dated back to the assassination attempt on the President a year ago. The President had been
shot with a bullet coated in a lethal toxin.
Although the bullet didn’t hit any vital parts, the President's life was still endangered. Unfortunately, the
President was on a remote inspection tour at that time. There were no hospitals or clinics nearby. The nearest
medical facility with an operating room was a women’s prison. That was where Khloe was at that time.
The President’s injury was a major incident. His trusted aides discreetly transported him to the women’s prison
for treatment. However, when Terrell was ready to perform the surgery, the prison doctors lacked the necessary
skills and were too nervous to assist him, fearing repercussions if the President died.
In order not to be held accountable, the warden pushed Khloe out of her prison cell to assist Terrell.

was performed, but the President survived. Because of it, Terrell’s fsoared, elevating him to a nationally
acclaimed doctor.
Only Terrell knew the truth. Inside that operating room, it was not he who performed the surgery. It was Khloe.
The situation was urgent and intense, the pressure mounting with every passing second. But Khloe remained a
beacon of composure. Her poise, decisiveness, and exceptional medical skills impressed Terrell greatly. She
moved with precision, each motion deliberate. The decisions she made were wise and resolute.
Terrell merely assisted Khloe, watching her battle death with extraordinary courage and superb skill. His heart
was filled with admiration for her.
