Chapter 10 Norton watched Cyrus and Baldrick square off, a strange feeling of unease bubbling inside him. It almost felt like witnessing a showdown between love rivals, which was absurd, right? Still, Norton played peacemaker. "Hey Cyrus, Baldrick, why don't you guys take a seat? Standing all this tmust be tiring, and Nancy is in heels." Cyrus immediately shifted his focus, taking Nancy's hand and guiding her to sit.

"Nancy, sorry for making you stand so long. Your feet must be killing you. Do you need a massage?" Nancy's face flushed as Cyrus' large hands hovered over her legs, her body tensing in resistance. But feeling the eyes of the others on her, she suppressed her discomfort.

"No, it's fine. I haven't been standing that long. You guys go ahead and drink." Hearing Nancy, Cyrus looked at her fondly and nodded, "Drinking can wait. Nancy, what's important is making sure you're comfortable." He then handed her a glass of soda, cautioning Norton and the others. "We're only planning to stay a bit. Nancy isn't much for late nights." Norton cover with a grin, holding his drink. "Don't worry, Cyrus!" Nancy held the soda but didn't seem interested in drinking, Cyrus' words echoing in her mind. "Nancy isn't much for late nights'? What hypocrisy. If he knew that, why inviteout?" Soon, a group of friends surrounded Cyrus, their gathering turning into a series of toasts and cheers. Before long, Cyrus seemed tipsy, handing Baldrick a cocktail with a high alcohol content.

"Stay a few more days this time. Callanytif you need something." Baldrick chuckled lightly and nodded, downing the drink in one gulp. Satisfied, Cyrus turned to Nancy. "Nancy, try sof this orange. It's good." He speared a piece of the freshly cut fruit with a fork and handed it to her.

Feeling the gaze of the others, Nancy reluctantly took a bite, then stood up, placing a hand on Cyrus' shoulder. Feeling done with pretending to enjoy the evening, she feigned tiredness. "Cyrus, I'm tired. I think I'll head back." Cyrus instinctively offered, "I'll cwith..." "No need. The driver is waiting outside. I'll text you when I get home. You rarely get to hang out, so stay and enjoy yourself with Norton and the others." Moved by the gesture, Norton hugged Cyrus' arm. "The lady has spoken, Cyrus! Let's drink for a few more hours!" Cyrus wanted to protest, but Nancy had picked up her purse and left.

As Nancy sat in the car, ready to leave, her phone buzzed with a new message.

It was from an unknown number. [Nancy, cback to the booth. Cyrus is going wild!] The message had to be from Baldrick. Among Cyrus' circle, only she and Baldrick were from the sschool.

While reading Baldrick's message, Nancy felt her irritation surging inside, but she eventually stepped out of the car and headed back.

A sultry laugh echoed from inside as she was about to push the door open. "Cyrus, missedin the few hours we've been apart? I've missed you so much that it hurts." Nancy's heart raced, and she pushed the door open just a crack.

In a revealing strap dress, Hayley was sitting on Cyrus' lap. The red of her dress made her smooth skin stand out, her cleavage daringly displayed. Cyrus raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with mischief. "I don't believe you.' " "Why don't you feel for yourself?" Hayley boldly guided Cyrus' hand toward her chest.

The others, especially Norton with a cheeky whistle, watched on.

"Hayley, you sure know how to play. No wonder Cyrus can hardly keep his hands off you!"

Nancy clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms, unaware of the pain as she seethed at the scene before her.

The way Norton and the others acted like this was business as usual m suggested they knew all along that Hayley was there. Before Nancy could process her emotions, holding his drink with a smirk, Baldrick turned to Cyrus.

"Cyrus, seeing how precious Hayley is to you, who do you prefer now? Nancy, or the one in your arms?"
