Chapter 152 Cyrus was being dragged out by the officers.

In the office, Winnie noticed Nancy, her face clouded with worry, and Judson, who looked deeply concerned.

"Judson, could you please get Lena a cup of tea?" Judson hesitated for a moment, but seeing Nancy's silent nod, he turned and left the room.

Soon it was just the two of them.

Winnie sighed softly. "I got a call from an employee earlier. They said a man claiming to be your husband showed up with flowers, and they saw you two arguing..." Winnie's expression grew serious. "Was it him? The guy who almost made you give up your design dreams?" Nancy didn't deny it. "It was him." Winnie's frustration was evident. "Is he out of his mind? What's he doing here, bothering you again? You gave up so much for him, and what did you get in return? Now he's back trying to disrupt your life again!" Winnie's biggest fear was rising to the surface.

"Lena, don't listen to a word he says. He's a selfish, deceitful person. He's just trying to lure you back into being a stay-at-hwife." Nancy looked at Winnie's worried eyes and reassured her, "Winnie, I was blind once, but I won't make the smistake twice." Seeing the sincerity in Nancy's eyes, Winnie let out a long breath. "You're right. Foolonce, shon him. He's handsome, sure, but Judson's even better looking and more importantly, he listens to you." Nancy hesitated. If Winnie knew that Judson had given Lenard the list of people who secretly admired her, she might not think Judson was so obedient.

Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Judson peered in hesitantly. "Can I cin?" Winnie smiled widely. "Of course, Judson. Lena and I are done talking. I have to get back to work." Judson grinned back. "Alright." Winnie thought to herself as she left the room, "What a perceptive young man." Not only was he better looking than Cyrus, but importantly, he knew when to listen! As Winnie left, she couldn't shake a strange feeling about Judson's admiring gaze, so she quickly made her exit, leaving the room to Nancy and Judson.

"Nancy, here's your tea." Judson handed the cup to Nancy, his gaze unwavering.

Nancy looked up, meeting Judson's eyes, then glanced at his swollen cheek and split lip.

"Chere," Nancy said, her tone stern.

Judson quickly moved in front of Nancy, kneeling down with a hopeful look like a loyal dog seeking approval. Nancy furrowed her brow, her fingers gently touching Judson's lip. "Does it hurt?" Judson nodded. "Yeah, it does." "Then why didn't you dodge?" Nancy's expression turned serious, her fingers pressing firmly against his lip. "Didn't I tell you before not to get involved?"

Judson stayed still, his eyes welling up with a mix of defiance and hurt. "I couldn't dodge. If I had, his fist might've landed on you instead!" "That's not possible," Nancy retorted.

She knew Cyrus well enough from their years together to believe she could handle him.

"Why not? I'm a guy too, I know his type," Judson replied confidently. "He managed to move next door,

and now shows up at work with flowers? Who knows what he might do next, I'm just worried he'll try to whisk you away when I'm not looking." Nancy pressed her lips together, clearly considering the seriousness of the situation.

"Nancy, let's move somewhere else.

If you're worried about money, m could always sign with Neil and beca model!"
