Chapter 16 "Nancy, you got my back on driving Hayley home, right?" Nancy's gaze was on Cyrus, her voice carrying an indescribable mix of emotions. "So, is that what you want?" "After all, Hayley's carrying Norton's child. I'm worried something might happen to her if I don't go. You know how long Norton and I have been friends," Cyrus explained.
So, it all boiled down to Cyrus wanting to take Hayley home.
A weight seemed to settle in Nancy's heart, but she managed a mocking smile. "Since you've made up your mind, why bother asking me? Just go. I don't care." With that, Nancy couldn't even bear to spare Cyrus a glance. She turned and walked away.

On impulse, Cyrus took a step to follow her.
But then, Hayley clung to his arm, her pale face showing signs of distress. "Mr. Gordon, my stomach... it hurts. And I think I just saw one of my fans." Cyrus frowned. No longer hesitating, he gently held Hayley by the shoulders. "Let's go, I'll take you home." After Cyrus and Hayley left, Nancy, who had initially walked away, reemerged from the shadows, watching their retreating backs, Cyrus' hand firmly on Hayley's shoulder.
They were so close, looking like he feared any harm befalling Hayley.
The bitterness in Nancy's heart was indescribable, yet she masochistically kept her eyes on them. The man who swore to love her forever found a new love within six months of marriage. Indeed, Cyrus' love was too cheap. Just then, a deep, magnetic voice cfrom behind her.
"Nancy, I can't understand why you won't divorce Cyrus. You're not someone to tolerate betrayal, yet you endure it all for him!" Nancy paused, turning slightly to see Baldrick approaching.
Baldrick's gaze was pitiful as he looked at her pale face. "Nancy, Cyrus has changed his heart. Or is it that you're still so in love with him?" Nancy thought she wouldn't feel hurt again, but Baldrick's words still stung. Yes, Cyrus had changed. And she didn't need Baldrick to remind her.
But Nancy only pressed her lips together lightly. "Mr. Robertson, this is between Cyrus and me. What's it to you?"

She didn't want to talk about the mess between her and Cyrus. It was too humiliating. As Nancy stepped to leave, she felt her arm suddenly gripped tightly.
Annoyance surged in her heart, but as she turned to face Baldrick, she saw something unspoken in his eyes.
"Nancy, Cyrus has gone all out, setting up fireworks across town to а celebrate Hayley's pregnancy. He never did anything like that for you, even at his most affectionate, did he?"
