Chapter 20 "Yeah, Mr. Gordon. Word on the street is Hayley's expecting. Do you mind telling us who the daddy is?" "Mr. Gordon, can we get a word from Hayley on this? Or perhaps you'd like to comment..." The paparazzi swarmed Cyrus and Hayley with their questions, pushing Nancy out of the way as if she were invisible.
Nancy watched the scene unfold before her with an icy detachment, looking as if she were a stranger to the erupting around her.

Cyrus roared, "Did I say you could interview me?" "My camera, Mr. Gordon! Don't you think that's a bit much..." Cyrus stared at the cameraman with a dark look and raised his fist to strike again.
That was when Caleb finally pushed through the crowd, grabbing Cyrus by the arm. "Mr. Gordon, we need to leave. Now." His eyes reddened with fury. Cyrus seemed deaf to Caleb's words, his arm tense and ready. Suddenly, Hayley's pained voice cut through the chaos. "Mr. Gordon, my stomach... it hurts so much..." Instantly, Cyrus' anger vanished, replaced with concern. Ignoring the paparazzi, he hurried Hayley toward the car.
The paparazzi sensed a story and were about to follow when Caleb stepped in. "Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Gordon is not available now. If you wish to schedule an interview, send a request. Otherwise, the Gordon Group will have to take legal action against anyone present!" Caleb's warning had the desired effect. After all, the Gordon Group's legal team was not to be trifled with. As Cyrus approached the car, he saw Nancy standing behind the crowd of paparazzi. Their eyes met, and Nancy's face was a mask of pallor.
Her gaze was empty and cold, a stark contrast to the warmth Cyrus remembered from the early days of their courtship.
For a moment, Cyrus felt a pang of something indefinable slip away. Just as he was about to close the car door and leave with Hayley, he felt an overwhelming urge to rush to Nancy and hold her tight.

"Drive to the hospital, now!" he barked at the driver.
As the car sped away, Nancy stood frozen, her heart numb. Once again, Cyrus had chosen Hayley over her. Looking at Nancy's ghostly, self-mocking expression, Caleb felt an unexplainable ache. He knew the complicated emotions that tangled Cyrus, Hayley, and Nancy.
Once, Cyrus and Nancy's love was the talk of the town, sweet and enviable. But that sweetness had turned bitter, leaving Nancy in the cold while whispers of Cyrus and Hayley's affair grew louder.
As Nancy turned to leave this painful scene, one of the paparazzi, his camera destroyed by Cyrus, rushed up to her.
