Chapter 223 Judson sat back in his chair, crossing his legs casually, a smirk playing on his lips that didn't quite reach his eyes. "You went through all this trouble to gethere, so I figured I'd indulge you. Getting into a car crash isn't exactly a fun experience, is it?" Grey's face twisted in frustration. "Judson, do you really think I won't run Lena over next? Aren't you worried I'll spill the beans to Brad about her?" Judson chuckled darkly, "I never thought a rabid dog like you would have a weakness. If you get on your knees and beg, maybe I'll consider sparing Lena this time. I heard she's quite the looker." Michael, who had just entered the room, raised an eyebrow at Grey's audacity. "Are you out of your mind?" Threatening Judson with Lena? Using such a low tactic? Everyone knew the last tMathew just hugged Lena, Judson nearly lost it.
"Who's the crazy one here? You are! Judson's willing to show up for Lena, doesn't that mean he's afraid her identity will get out?" Grey said, eyes fixed on Judson. "Am I right, Judson?" Judson's grin widened, but his eyes remained cold. "You're right, but there's another way besides begging." Grey felt a chill of unease at Judson's words. "What are you planning to do...?" Judson didn't answer. Instead, he gestured to Michael.

Aware that he was in danger, Grey attempted to flee, but found himself helpless with his hands and feet bound. "Judson, have you lost it? I'm your brother, are you really going to—" "A stray dog like you thinks you're my brother?" Judson was still smiling, but his eyes were as dark as midnight. "Grey, enjoy being a veggie for life. That way, you won't ever get the chance to tell anyone that Lena is my Achilles' heel." With those words, he raised the bat.
"Judson, I warn you, you better not " Thud-! A scream of agony echoed through the room.
Meanwhile, outside, the night deepened, setting the stage for the events of the evening.
Nancy had been dozing for what felt like ages when the shrill ring of her phone jolted her awake. She didn't ever glance at the caller ID before answering. "Hello?" "Nancy, I just saw the trending news. I'm going to clear this up right away," Baldrick said, his voice tense with frustration. "I can't believe Lucy did this." Hearing Baldrick's angry tone, Nancy shook off her sleepiness. "No need to apologize. This can be turned around." Baldrick caught on quickly. "You've got a plan, Nancy?" "Yes," Nancy replied honestly. "I have the drafts to prove it, but I'll need your help to clarify things. Also, release the seasonal drafts. I have a meeting at eight in the morning." "No problem," Baldrick agreed immediately, not needing to think twice.

Once I'm done here, I'll head over. I'd love for us to work together." Nancy murmured her agreement, about to hang up when something else cto mind. "Baldrick, keep an eye on Cyrus and Lucy.
