Chapter 37 Hayley stood there, her face a canvas of distress. "Cyrus, you left your phone at home. I was scared you'd lose it and do something rash to Nancy..." Cyrus froze, images of Nancy's pale, almost shattered demeanor flooding his mind, leaving a dense thicket of pain in its wake.
With sympathy, Hayley took Cyrus' hand in hers. "Cyrus, you love Nancy so much, and she... she's just confused right now. She'll caround. I know it." Cyrus' handsface darkened again, and he suddenly looked up at Hayley.
With tears welling in her eyes, Hayley hugged him. "Cyrus, you and Nancy have had too many misunderstandings. Maybe I should talk to her? We're both women. Maybe we'll find common ground...

There stood Nancy, watching them from above. Hayley's gaze, filled with triumph, seemed to say, "Even in your marital home, Cyrus dares to kiss me." From her vantage point, Nancy noticed Hayley's provoking look. At that moment, Nancy felt no pain. Cyrus had ripped open all the healing wounds in her heart, exposing the delicate scars, only to ruthlessly tear them open again. If Cyrus could be this cruel, why should she continue to suffer for such a man? A cold smile played on Nancy's lips as she turned and walked away.

"Cyrus, aren't you staying htonight?" Hayley asked, almost reflexively.
"Not tonight. When Nancy decides to be as gentle as you, when she can let go of Baldrick, I'll cback!" Cyrus said, his expression grim.
He knew everyone, including Hayley, knew of his affection for Nancy. Yet, why couldn't Nancy see it? Especially when she was so close with Baldrick! The thought of Nancy's hysterical demeanor made Cyrus unsure how to face her. They both needed stto cool off before talking again.
Nancy threw herself onto the bed, letting her negative emotions run wild.
"Nancy, why would your uncle go after you and not someone else? Maybe you seduced him!" "You little tramp, even going after your uncle. You're bound to end up in disaster." Nancy slammed her hand onto the mattress, her face wet with tears. Those people's mocking faces flashed across her mind, culminating in Cyrus' look of disgust.

Its conservative om design accentuated her slim waist, and the skirt hugged her figure, showcasing her long, straight legs. She had delicate features with light makeup, her hair neatly pulled up, and the white pearl earrings added a touch of elegance. "Wow, Nancy, it's been a while since I've seen you dress up so formally."
