Chapter 56 Orlando felt a surge of anger, his face contorting with emotion.

Nancy stared at the bandage on Judson's head, falling silent. Truth be told, Judson wasn't much better than Orlando.

But judging solely by appearances, Orlando looked like he'd gotten the worse end of the stick, both eyes blackened as if he'd been in a bar brawl.

After taking a deep breath to calm himself, Orlando quickly turned to Nancy. "Lena, are you okay?" Nancy raised an eyebrow, not bothering to respond.

Kneeling on the ground, Ann broke down. "Orlando, I'm your girlfriend. Why are you so concerned about Lena? Just because I slapped her, look what Lena's husband did to me!" "What did you say? You dared to hit Lena!" Orlando's gaze shifted from the slap mark on Nancy's face to Ann kneeling on the ground, his face darkening with rage.

"Ann, we're over! And I've refused the arranged marriage with the Harris family. Why would you lay a hand on Lena?" Ann, visibly furious, shot back, "I won't accept this! You broke up withbecause of Lena, didn't you?" "Whether it's because of Lena or not, I don't like you. Can't you understand it?" Orlando's frustration grew as he surveyed the broken furniture around them. "You even dared to trash Lena's studio. Now tellwhere you hid the stustaff!" Before Ann could respond, as if realizing something, Judson whispered urgently to Nancy, "Babe, they're in that room upstairs." Nancy and Orlando followed Judson's gaze to a storage room on the second floor. Orlando broke into a run without another word, but Ann grabbed him. "You can't go!" "Get off!" Orlando shoved Ann aside and stormed upstairs.

As expected, opening the door revealed Winnie and the others tied up, mouths sealed with duct tape. Nancy's expression shifted, and as she moved to help, Ann attempted to flee.

"Judson!" Before she could finish, Judson had blocked Ann's path.

Judson's gaze intensified, his voice dripping with icy menace. "Who said you could leave?" The tension in the room was thick as Ann's face went pale.

Orlando and Nancy quickly freed everyone.

"We're okay. Winnie told us not to resist," one of the employees hurriedly explained.

Relieved to see everyone unharmed, Nancy sighed.

Rubbing her wrists, Winnie glared at Orlando. "Look at the mess you've dragged us into. Your ex even brought several thugs to take advantage of Lena!" Orlando's shock was evident. "What did you say?" Turning to Nancy, he noticed her avoid his gaze.

Orlando stood abruptly, his face a mix of guilt and anger, "Lena, I'll make this right." With that, he left, with Ann realizing it was too late to protest before being dragged out as the police arrived. "Who called the cops?" "I did. Let's talk outside," Orlando said, his expression grim.

Recognizing Orlando, the officers remained silent.

The stuquickly quieted down.

Holding Winnie's hand, Nancy insisted, "Everyone needs to go to the hospital for a check-up. I won't be at ease otherwise." Winnie initially resisted, "Lena, we're fine." "No, you must go." Nancy was determined.

Seeing no other option, Winnie agreed to take everyone to the m hospital understanding Nancy's stubbornness. Soon, the stuwas silent.

Judson, worried, asked, "Nancy, are you okay?" He knew she was feverish when she arrived.

Nancy nodded slightly, looking around at the chaos, feeling utterly drained.

"Let's clean up..." Before she could finish, darkness enveloped her vision, and she collapsed.

"Nancy!" Her consciousness slipped away, leaving her tot her to the growingm distance of Judson's voice.
