Chapter 68 Nancy was stunned.
The door slammed shut.
Lenard was utterly bewildered, taking several seconds to swallow and calm down. "Nancy, am I hallucinating from all these late nights, or what's the deal with you and this handsguy?" Nancy's tone was complex. "Found him. He savedbut lost his memory, and now, Judson thinks I'm his wife." It was Lenard's turn to be shocked. He would never have believed it if it weren't for Nancy's serious demeanor, which he knew she wasn't one to joke around.

"Nothing." Lenard quickly changed the subject. "Nancy, you returned. Did you divorce that guy, Cyrus?" Nancy didn't deny it but nodded slightly. She hadn't gone into detail about her marriage with Cyrus to her mentor and friends. She only mentioned returning hto get married and focusing on her family and career there, which led her mentor and Winnie to remain unaware that her husband was Cyrus. Seeing Nancy's calm demeanor, Lenard sharply caught the fleeting sadness in her eyes. Lenard's expression darkened as he clenched his fists tightly. "Nancy, did that jerk wrong you?" Usually, they called her by her nonly when something serious happened; otherwise, they just called her Lena.
Nancy spoke softly, "It's in the past now. It doesn't matter anymore." Lenard shouted, "How can it not matter! Nancy, this guy let you down. Does he realize what you've sacrificed for him?" Lenard grew increasingly angry. "If it weren't for your marriage to him a year ago, you would've collaborated with the headquarters of Evergreen Global. By now, you'd be a top-tier presence in the industry. A design queen wouldn't be an exaggeration!" Nancy lowered her gaze. "That's why I'm back at my job. I won't make the smistakes for anyone again." Lenard fell silent at that.
Listening to Nancy's somewhat self-deprecating voice, Lenard beceven more anxious. "Nancy, that's not what I meant. I can't stand how he treated you!" "Why? I'd like to know, too." Nancy scoffed sarcastically, recalling everything Cyrus had done for Hayley: the city-wide fireworks, supporting her through her pregnancy, fighting for her and getting arrested, buying back all her jewelry just to give it back to her, and even gifting her Silverleaf Manor. Moreover, he demanded Nancy apologize to Hayley, or they'd divorce.
Lenard asked why Cyrus treated her this way. Indeed, she wanted to understand the reason, too.
But one thing Nancy knew for sure. "That scumbag will never givewhat I deserve, so I'm over him. He's history." All Lenard felt was a deep sense of injustice. "Nancy, it doesn't sit right with me. Can't we do something about him?" "We can't. Cyrus' entire business is back home, and he's not easy to deal with," Nancy answered truthfully. Otherwise, she wouldn't have had to go to such extremes to leave Cyrus.
Lenard felt more aggrieved. "So, we can't retaliate or deal with him but let him bully us?" "Consider it a price paid for a lesson learned." Nancy tried to console softly.
Lenard knew the situation well, but it still felt unfair.
Standing at the door, Judson listened to Nancy's words, his eyes filled with a tumultuous fury.
