Chapter 121

Amara felt a mix of emotions-touched yet slightly amused at Lucian's stubbornness.

"I get where you're coming from, but there's no need for all this. We can talk things out," she said, a gentle smile

playing on her lips.

Having calmed down, Amara believed there was still room to maneuver in this situation. After all, both Keith and

Lucian stood up for her.

Lucian might not carry much weight, but Keith was crucial. Nobody in the production team would want to lose

him, so there might still be a way out.

But then, she thought of Finnian. With his influence, finding another A-lister to replace Keith wouldn't be too

hard. What if Finnian decided to cut Keith loose? The thought clouded Amara's face with worry again.

"Con, don't overthink it," Keith said, wrapping an arm around Amara's shoulder to comfort her. "When one

door closes, another opens. We'll figure something out."

Lucian turned his head, looking at Keith's arm around Amara, lost in thought.

Keith turned to him, giving a half-smirk as he began, "You're really willing to go the distance for Ama, huh? You're

grateful to her or something?"

Could this guy possibly have a crush on Amara? For sreason, the idea, which had been nagging at Keith for

a while, made him a bit uneasy.

"Ama helpeda lot, so yes, | am really grateful," Lucian said earnestly.

Seeing him get all serious again, Amara chuckled. Then she turned serious herself. "Lucian, | know you mean

well, but you can't be so impulsive. You don't have any connections. You've gotten here purely through talent

and good looks, but there are plenty like you in showbiz. If Finnian wants to bury you, you might never get back

up. Do you understand?"

Lucian was kind and straightforward, but he could be a bit too obstinate. Amara found herself at a loss for how to

dissuade him.

Lucian replied, "Ama, you don't need to worry. Twas planning to leave the business after this project anyway.

Leaving a bit earlier won't change much."

Amara paused briefly. "You're quitting Showbiz?"

"But why?" she asked quickly. "You're at the peak of your career. You don't want

to pursue this anymore?"

Lucian explained, "Ama, since you

offeredthose chances, I've gone

from being an extra to playing supporting roles and attending numerous events. Over these years, I've saved

squantity of money. | know it can't buy a house in the city, but back home, it's a small fortune. So, I'm

planning to go back, build a house, open a little shop, and marry my girlfriend."

Amara was taken aback shortly at his words. "You have a girlfriend?"

They'd known each other for years, and she'd never heard him mention a girlfriend.

Lucian's usually stoic face softened

a bit, his eyes tender. "I've had a girlfriend all along. These years I've been out here acting, she's been waiting

want her to wait any longe

While it was a common enough story, Amara felt a warmth spread through her chest, deeply moved.

She genuinely smiled. "That's wonderful. You've been working all this tfor your future together, right?"

Lucian nodded, and Amara replied with a smile, "Then go back and marry her. Don't make her wait too long."
