Chapter 179
But Dorian knew he was definitely cooked.
No surprise there, considering he'd been missing for a whole day and night. Who knew how much he drank
during that time? Of course, he'd be plastered.
"Find a nearby hotel and book a suite. Let's get him settled there first," Dorian instructed.
Liliana didn't move. "No need for all that hassle. We can just take him to our place. It's not that far, only a half-
hour drive."
Dorian was well aware of the history between Finnian and Liliana, as well as Finnian's rough childhood. Keeping
his expression neutral, he insisted directively, "Hotel it is."
Ignoring Liliana's look, he helped Finnian up and started guiding him out of the bar.
A flicker of irritation crossed Liliana's eyes but disappeared just as quickly.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe hurried to catch up, grabbing Finnian's other arm, and together they managed to get him to a nearby hotel
and booked a suite.
They laid Finnian, who seemed alright but was actually quite wobbly, onto the bed and handed him a glass of
water.
That was when Dorian noticed something was off. He felt Finnian's forehead, finding it hot to the touch.
"He's got a fever."
"What, Finn's burning up?" Liliana rushed over, confirming Finnian's forehead was indeed quite hot.
She reached to touch his neck, but Finnian, in a daze, swatted her hand away with a sleepy flip.
Finnian turned over, clearly not wanting to be touched.
Liliana stood there awkwardly, and when Dofian glanced over, she quickly explained, "Finn's never liked being
touched by others. It's just a reflex. He's not like this when he's sober."
Dorian remained silent, his face emotionless, and turned away, causing Liliana to bite her lip in frustration.
She'd thought Dorian was on her side, especially since he was known for disliking Amara. Turned out, he didn't
think much of her either.
Oh well, he wasn't Finnian's family elder or anything. His opinion didn't affect her relationship with Finnian, and
that was what mattered.
"You go out and buy sfever medicine. I'll stay here with him," Dorian
commanded, pulling a chair over to sit by the bed.
Liliana was fuming. Since when did women have to do the errands?
But with Finnian practically unconscious, she couldn't really argue with Dorian. Forcing a smile, she nodded and
went out to get the medicine.
When she returned, the two of them managed to get Finnian to take the fever reducer. Dorian wet a towel, wiped
Finnian's face and hands, and then nodded towards the other room in the suite.
"You can sleep in there. I'll keep watch tonight."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLiliana knew Dorian wouldn't let her stay alone with Finnian, so she agreed Alright, I'll be just next door. Call me
if you need anything. Oh, by the way, do you have my number?"
"Nope, but I doubt I'll need it. Go get srest."
Liliana gritted her teeth, suppressing her irritation, gave Finnian one last look, and left the room.
In the middle of the night, Finnian groggily opened his eyes to a dark ceiling.
As his eyes adjusted, he turned and realized he was in a hotel room, with Dorian sleeping soundly beside him.
A hotel? How did he end up here with Dorian?
